I have traced the Vivoli name back to the 1400's. Here is some information I got from Alberto Vivoli in Firenze:
"
The Vivoli family has its origin in Fiorenzuola, a village between the region of Tuscany and Romagna, in this area there are lots of Vivolis. The roots on the origin as described in the “DIZIONARIO BIOGRAFICO GEOGRAFICO STORICO DEL COMUNE DI FIRENZUOLA" VOLUME 2° FIRENZE 1914”, the Vivoli came from Padova around 1475 and settled in Rapezzo (which is in the suburbs of Fiorenzuola), together with the Barzagli family as cattle trader. From a very old contract it looks like Eugenio Vivoli during year 1485 marries Sinforosa Vignuoli of Rapezzo. It looks like they were buyer of cattle and they used to bring the cattle to the Maremma. Their house in Maremma was very well known. The book also talks about some of the Vivoli from which my family comes from."My grandfather, Frank, came from Carpine in the province of Foggia around 1910. His brother, Giuseppe came a few years earlier. They later met up in Canada while working on the Canadian Raliroad. My grandmother, Enerigette Marrone, came from Amalfi coast some years later. While I haven't been able to find records of their immigration on the web, I have found some interesting information about other Vivoli's from www.ellisisland.org.
Here is a list of all Vivoli's entering the U.S. via Ellis Island between 1892 and 1924.

Here is an example of one of the ships that brought these Vivoli's to the U.S. This one transported Guiseppe (I don't think he was my uncle) from the port of Naples in on May 23, 1910.
And this is the ships manifest.
